Originally developed by NASA for extreme use, the Mares XR undersuits for drysuits are made of an innovative POLARTEC® POWERSTRETCH® material, ultralight, elastic and breathable, lined with warming and skin-friendly fleece that absorbs sweat and keeps the skin dry. In order to keep you warm, the Mares XR Base Layer Pants enclose an air layer between the skin and the undersuit, which maintains the body temperature well even in very cold surroundings.

This specially developed Polartec fabric for the Mares XR Base Layer pants also gives you protection from the cold if water gets inside your dry suit. Because even when wet, the Mares XR Base Layer Pants protect the body from heat loss. This means that you can also wear the Mares XR Base Layer undersuit under a loose-fitting neoprene diving suit to give your body a little extra warmth when diving in cool water.
