The Shearwater Teric dive Computer, here together with the compatible SWIFT Transponder, is a new, powerful high-end dive computer for technical diving, for recreational divers and also an OC/CC dive computer for rebreathers, a new gem from the young Canadian manufacturer Shearwater, who has already shaken up the diving world with revolutionary dive computers such as Shearwater Peregrine or Shearwater Perdix, and who is a technical diver himself and therefore knows exactly what a demanding diver needs underwater to dive safely and relaxed.

User-friendliness first in line

Regardless of whether you are a recreational diver, a technical diver or a professional diver, it was important to the manufacturer that his Shearwater dive computers are as easy to use as possible, individually configurable and clearly laid out. And the Teric, like all Shearwater dive computers, has achieved this perfectly, because it is very easy to operate even in poor visibility or with thick neoprene gloves, the menu is simple and intuitively designed and the razor-sharp, colour, high-resolution Amoled display is extremely clear and can be structured according to your own needs. 15 colour options are available so that you can configure the Teric’s display to suit your needs and always see the data that matters most to you, in the colour, size and texture that suits you best.

With 5 different dive modes, for beginners to professionals

From novice to advanced technical diver, everyone will find the right functions with the Teric, as this powerful computer offers five different dive modes. There is something for everyone – a basic gauge mode, the Freediving dive mode for apnoea divers, the OC (open circuit) mode, i.e. open circuit with regulator and compressed air tank with Nitrox up to 99% for recreational divers, the OC Technical for technical divers who need different breathing air mixtures including Trimix and the CC/BO (closed circuit) mode for divers who dive with closed circuit, i.e. with rebreather with constant PO2.

With optional air integration

For OC diving, the Teric can be connected with up to 4 transmitters at the same time, which is optimal for sidemount diving, and offers 5 gases and Nitrox with different oxygen percentages up to 100%.

More safety through innovative decompression algorithm

The basic decompression algorithm used by this computer is the Bühlmann ZHL-16C algorithm. However, this has been modified by the makers of the Shearwater dive computers, themselves passionate divers, by using gradient factors developed by Erik Baker. This new calculation model provides divers who are beyond the limits of basic recreational diving with more safety and more accuracy when calculating deep stops.

With integrated digital compass

For easy underwater navigation, the Shearwater Teric dive computer features an integrated 3-axis digital compass with tilt compensation and easy-to-use interface.

Life-saving, configurable alarm functions

This intelligent dive computer can easily distinguish between a simple warning and an alarm for a life-threatening situation and inform the diver accordingly in different ways. Simple, non-safety related information is simply displayed in blue and disappears after a few seconds, safety related warnings are continuously displayed in yellow with a warning sign and must be confirmed by the diver himself and he must take action, and life threatening situations, such as too high oxygen partial pressure, are displayed in red and require immediate action on the part of the diver.

The alarm functions are acoustic and visual, marked in different colours and with a flashing function, partly accompanied by a vibration alarm and can be configured individually by the diver for the most part.

Also a perfect everyday companion

Of course, the Teric can also simply be a watch, which makes it a chic and robust everyday companion, because here too, in watch mode, you can configure the display yourself in terms of colour choice and design. Different timers, alarms or stopwatches are of course also available. Even under demanding conditions, when doing sports in difficult terrain for example, you don’t need to worry about your Teric, because it can take care of itself very well. Built with 316 stainless steel buttons and bezel, in a ballistic nylon polymer case, with shatter-proof sapphire crystal glass, this powerhouse can withstand pressures of up to 20 bar and is sure to survive the odd fall unscathed.

Long battery life

So you won’t be let down by your dive computer on hour-long dives, the Shearwater Teric is equipped with a powerful rechargeable Li-ion battery that charges in the included charging dock, guaranteeing up to 30 hours of continuous use with air integration activated.

Easy connectivity

You no longer need a cable for this dive computer, because just about everything is done wirelessly with the Teric. Wireless charging, Bluetooth data transfer to any smartphone, tablet or desktop to store and share your dives, or run the free software update regularly.

Shearwater Transmitter SWIFT

This transponder is the compatible transmitter for all Shearwater dive computers with air integration, like the Teric, or the powerful Perdix 2 Ti  Titanium dive computer.

Robust transmitter with stable connection

The SWIFT transmitter features robust construction and stable connection while diving. For the Perdix 2 and Teric computers you can even use up to four Swift transmitters at the same time, which is very important especially for technical diving and sidemount diving.

The Shearwater transmitter is very robustly built and easy to use – just attach it to the HD connector of your regulator, pair it with the Shearwater dive computer and off you go!

You have a wireless transmission range of up to 1m with the SWIFT transmitter, which connects to your compatible dive computer via a low frequency RF 38kHz connection. Data transmission between transmitter and computer is reliable and stable in all diving conditions.

Also suitable for extreme diving conditions

And because Shearwater dive computers are also designed for extreme diving conditions, this transponder is operational down to a depth of 150m, and offers an incredible runtime of up to 300 dive hours on just one battery, so you won’t be let down by your dive computer on long, demanding dives.

The Shearwater Transmitter battery is a standard 3V CR2 lithium battery that can be changed by the user. The status of the transmitter battery is shown on the display of the Shearwater dive Computer.
