The 62X is a balanced, diaphragm-controlled 1st stage that features a lightweight and compact design. It is also well-known for its excellent cold-water characteristics.

This first stage is coated with the exclusive „Black Intense“ finish from Mares, a ceramic-based material renowned for its superior surface hardness. Mares 1st Stage with High Air Delivery Performance

The 62X ensures very comfortable breathing both with the primary 2nd stage and the octopus. This is achieved through the DFC (Dynamic Flow Control) ports on all medium pressure connections, which guarantee a consistent and natural inhalation resistance for both second stages. The DFC system minimises the medium pressure drop caused by inhalation, ensuring comfortable breathing at any depth.

The arrangement of 4 medium pressure ports and 2 slightly angled high-pressure ports has been strategically designed to allow for a more flexible and easier attachment of hoses and transmitters. This way, you can configure your Mares regulator to suit your individual needs.

Compared to the tried-and-tested Mares MR22, the 62X features an ACT valve, equipped with Advanced Coating Technology, which increases the durability of the valve by 600%. Thus, this regulator also overcomes the challenges of diving.
