The 1st Stage 62X

The 62X is a balanced, diaphragm-controlled 1st stage, very lightweight and compact, known for its excellent cold-water characteristics.

Robust 1st Stage with Ceramic Coating

This first stage is coated with Mares’ exclusive “Black Intense” finish, a ceramic-based material renowned for its extraordinary surface hardness. This makes the regulator extremely resistant to scratches, wear, corrosion, UV rays, and chemicals. As a result, its functionality and elegant appearance are preserved even after many dive trips.

Mares First Stage with High Breathing Comfort on All Connections

The 62X offers unparalleled breathing comfort for both the primary second stage and the octopus. This is achieved through DFC ports (Dynamic Flow Control) on all intermediate pressure connectors, which ensure a consistent and natural inhalation resistance during alternate air supply. The DFC system minimises the intermediate pressure drop caused by inhalation, ensuring a comfortable dive at any depth.

Flexible Hose Configuration

The four intermediate pressure ports and the slightly angled two high-pressure ports are strategically arranged to allow for a more flexible and easier attachment of hoses and transmitters. This way, you can configure your Mares regulator according to your individual preferences.

A hydrodynamic reflector in the 2nd stage efficiently directs the air, ensuring it flows directly into the mouthpiece and significantly eases inhalation.
