Mares First Stage 15X – compact and very robust

The first stage of the Mares Dual 15X impresses with its compact design and a low weight of just 598 g in the DIN variant. With a sandblasted finish and two high-pressure ports, it is not only functional but also aesthetically pleasing. The 15X offers 4 medium pressure outlets, one of which is equipped with the tried-and-tested Dynamic Flow Control (DFC) technology that ensures optimal breathing gas supply for the primary second stage, providing almost effortless breathing – even under extreme conditions. You will feel the difference with every breath: the medium pressure drop is minimised during inhalation, offering you excellent breathing comfort.

As with all first stages in the “X” series, the 15X excels in extraordinary durability, thanks to the innovative ACT Valve Advanced Coating Technology. This revolutionary valve coating increases lifespan by up to 600%, even when the regulator is subjected to extreme diving conditions. This also extends the recommended service interval for “X” stages to 2 years instead of 1 year as is common with many traditional regulators. (A yearly inspection of the regulator should still be conducted.)

The current version of the 15X stage also features an optimised handwheel, providing good grip and facilitating easy assembly and disassembly.

Mares Second Stage Dual – lightweight second stage with improved breathing comfort

The second stage of the Dual 15X weighs just 183 g, making it one of the lightest options on the market. Made from ultra-light technopolymer, it stands out not only for its low weight but also its pneumatically balanced design. Equipped with a Superflex hose, it allows you a high airflow rate, regardless of the depth at which you are diving.

The second stage also features the revolutionary Vortex Assisted Design (VAD), which has been optimised in this version of the stage. Air is channelled through a special bypass tube that creates a vortex. At the centre of this vortex, there is a low pressure that draws the diaphragm inward during inhalation, increasing the regulator’s sensitivity. For you, this means: regardless of depth, you do not need to make additional adjustments. The regulator consistently reacts the same way, allowing you to breathe effortlessly.
