MARES Explorer Jacket for children

The Explorer Jacket is a buoyancy compensator for children, from the well-known manufacturer of proven BCDs such as Mares Dragon or Prestige, an adjustable diving jacket for children and young people aged approx. 8 to 12 years.

Easily adjustable to fit different body sizes

The best thing about the Mares Explorer BCD is the fact that it can be adjusted to fit different body sizes, that’s why it is only available in one size (XXXS), with a special adjustment system with long straps and two buckles in the chest area, so that the Jacket can accompany your child through 4 to 5 years of growth.

Optimal fit for children

But not only the fact that the Explorer is a growing BCD makes it the optimal diving jacket for children, but its whole cut has been designed especially for children. The back panel is narrower and shorter, the air cell has been designed to not constrict the children’s chest and the tank strap has been kept shorter in order to attach smaller tanks.

Robust material and many practical features

Especially for the little divers, the many useful features of a high-quality buoyancy jacket should not be missing, such as integrated octopus pocket, finimeter pocket or large side pockets with Velcro fasteners for diving accessories. There are also enough D-rings for attaching lamps, cameras or signal devices.

For the safety of your child, a signal whistle has been integrated into the chest buckle to attract attention at the water surface.

Even though children unfortunately outgrow their buoyancy device far too quickly, Mares has designed the Explorer BCD as a robust and durable diving jacket, made of hard-wearing Cordura material, with tear-resistant nylon straps and sturdy plastic buckles and D-rings.

Classic inflator and multiple quick releases

The Explorer Jacket is equipped with a classic Ergo inflator, with large and easy to handle buttons. On the inflator and on the lower right side, there are practical quick releases.
