Good cold protection and comfortable fit.

Made from a soft and stretchy 3mm neoprene, and with preformed fingers, the Classic 3 Gloves feel very comfortable, don’t sit to tight and do not  restrict your finger movement. These Mares neoprene gloves have flat seams to avoid pressure points.

Choose the right size from the 7 available sizes, a size which fits snugly and is not too wide at the cuffs, then you will always have warm hands when diving, as the Classic 3 are very well cut and allow little water flow along the fingers. This gives you optimal freedom of movement when diving and comfortable thermal protection thanks to well-fitting cuffs, even if these are not semi-dry neoprene gloves. They are more suitable for use in not too cold water, for dives where you still need finger sensitivity, for example for underwater photography, or for other water sports where you need some light cold protection for your fingers, such as rowing or SUP.

In very cold water, however, we recommend the use of thicker gloves, possibly semi-dry, 5mm or 6.5mm neoprene gloves, such as the Mares Flexa Fit 5mm or Flexa Fit 6.5.

Good grip thanks to rubberised palms

The palms of the Mares Classic 3 neoprene gloves have a rubber pattern so that nothing slips out of your hand while diving and also so that you can still operate your diving equipment well, because with neoprene gloves you still lose some of your fingertip feeling. With these gloves, this is largely compensated for by the soft material on the fingers, the good fit and the coated palms.

Easy to don and doff

The Classic 3 gloves have a skin-friendly lining on the inside so that the hand slips in easily when donning. The cuffs are cut a little tight, but that is intentional, so that they seal well at the wrist after putting them on. There is no zip on the cuffs, but the cuffs are elastic and tight enough to be don without any problems and you save yourself the unaccustomed fiddling around with the zip slide while wearing the thick gloves – often quite a tedious affair.
